About The Role
Key Responsibilities and Requirements (Please see the Job Description and Person Specification below for further information).
- The (council funded) Community Development Worker manages the charity’s relationship and engagement with Whitefoot and Downham ward residents and community groups, charity organisations, statutory service providers, and Lewisham council.
- Works closely with the Managing Director and Operations Manager to identify local needs and gaps in service provision; plans and implements projects and programmes that align with the organisation’s vision, mission and objectives
- Takes a proactive approach in supporting and facilitating current partnership projects and developing new partnerships and project collaborations
- Recruits and works closely with our volunteers and liaises with the Managing Director and Operations Manager on running our Volunteer Learning and Development Programme
- Delivers planning and reporting to ensure that community development delivery aligns with our strategy and organisational values
- Manages the community development budget and works closely with the Finance Officer and Treasurer on budget reviews and reports.
