About the Testing Site
A new walk-through coronavirus testing facility
A new walk-through coronavirus testing facility has opened for those with symptoms to book appointments at Goldsmiths Community Centre in Lewisham, as part of the Government’s UK-wide drive to continue to improve the accessibility of coronavirus testing for local communities. The testing centre is being operated in partnership with G4S and will offer self-administered tests.
Site Entrance and Exit via Baudwin Road
Entry and exit to the testing centre will be via Baudwin Road, SE6 1RN. There will be no entry or exit onto Castillon Road due to the proximity of the bus stop and schools and the need to provide sufficient space for social distancing. See below for a plan of the site showing the entry and exit points for the test site.

We are working with Lewisham Council to involve neighbours, partners and user groups in the operational plans. These plans have been developed in close collaboration with Whitefoot members – Councillor Slater, Councillor Powell and Councillor Ingleby.

Testing is available for those with coronavirus symptoms – a high temperature, a new, continuous cough, or a loss or change to sense of smell or taste.
Testing is available for those with coronavirus symptoms – a high temperature, a new, continuous cough, or a loss or change to sense of smell or taste. Anyone with one or more of these symptoms should book a test at nhs.uk/coronavirus or by calling 119.
The aim is that everyone in Whitefoot and Downham with coronavirus symptoms has access to free tests to support continued efforts to reduce the transmission of the virus.
If you have coronavirus symptoms, you must stay at home (self-isolate) and book a test via nhs.uk/coronavirus or by calling 119. Depending on availability, you will be directed to the most convenient test centre.
Anyone testing positive for the virus in England will be contacted by NHS Test and Trace to help them trace their contacts. This will help to identify who they may have been in close contact with, protecting others from further transmission.
Close contacts of those testing positive will also hear from NHS Test and Trace, asking them to stay at home for ten days to prevent them from unknowingly spreading the virus. They will be advised to also book a test if they develop symptoms.
