Working together to create a healthy, connected and thriving community

Under the current lockdown measures, our community centre is closed to the public for the time being. Thank you for all your support during this time and we hope to welcome you back as soon as possible.

In the meantime, we are working hard behind the scenes to prepare for the coming year's activities and projects at the centre, in the community, and online!

TAKE CARE
The award-winning short-film about life as a carer we've all been waiting for !!

Ecoute Theatre Company was due to perform TAKE CARE in our legendary George Green Hall at Goldsmiths Community Centre but COVID-19 got in the way...temporarily. We're very excited to announce that Ecoute Theatre is back, and they've taken their show online with a film adaptation!

We are teaming up with them to celebrate our carer community and raise awareness during You Can Care Week from 23-28 February 2021.

Join us for an online CARERS FORUM, Q&A and free ONLINE SCREENING of this funny, evocative and deeply personal film about the highs and lows and the ins and outs of life as a carer.

Apple Tree Marketplace

Unfortunately, due to the new lockdown measures, the marketplace will be postponed until further notice. We have really enjoyed working on the market and we have been able to interact with so many new faces over the last few months.

We hope to have one final hurrah this year in December, however we will await further government guidance to determine whether this will be safe to do so.

Thanks again for all your support and trusting us to manage a Covid secure environment.

Our 'Give a Song' partnership project with Chloe Edwards-Wood uses the power of music to bring a moment of joy to those who are shielding or simply struggling at home due to Covid-19.

Residents can watch or sing along from their doorstep or window as local musicians play a few of their favourite songs outside. There is no charge to the people receiving a song. If you know somebody you think would appreciate a visit, you can nominate them via our online form.  So far the musicians have done over 280 performances and played to over 3000 residents!

Nominate somebody to receive a song
There is absolutely no requirement to contribute to the project costs but some people have already asked to do so. You can donate via our fundraising page to contribute to the project to help it grow and reach more people!
